Jury Selection and
Appointment Policy

1. Purpose and Scope
1.1. This Policy governs the identification, evaluation, and appointment of members of the Jury Council of the MYRONYX Global Awards (the "Awards").
1.2. This Policy is issued by the Organizational Committee pursuant to Sections 2.1, 4.2, and 9 of the Regulation of the International Award (the "Regulation") and constitutes an Annex to it.
1.3. This Policy does not amend the Regulation. In the event of any inconsistency, the Regulation prevails.
1.4. This Policy applies to all candidates considered for appointment, to all appointed Jury members, and to the Secretariat and the Compliance Function in the discharge of their functions under Sections 2.3 and 2.4 of the Regulation.
1.5. This Policy is of permanent application and contains no season-specific data.
1.6. Terms defined in Section 1.2 of the Regulation bear the same meaning in this Policy.

2. Role and Authority of the Jury Council
2.1. The Jury Council is an independent collegial body composed of recognized industry leaders, distinguished professionals, and subject-matter experts with established reputations and substantial professional experience (Regulation, Section 2.2).
2.2. The Jury operates pursuant to the Regulation and exercises exclusive authority in evaluating applications and determining award recipients. Its decisions are final following procedural validation (Regulation, Section 4.1).
2.3. The Jury evaluates applications exclusively on merit and in accordance with predefined criteria. Jury members act autonomously and independently from sponsors, partners, applicants, and any external stakeholders (Regulation, Section 2.2).
2.4. The Organizational Committee shall not interfere with individual scoring, deliberation, or voting of the Jury (Regulation, Section 2.1).
2.5. Financial contributions shall not influence evaluation outcomes, and strict independence is maintained between funding sources and Jury decision-making (Regulation, Section 10).

3. Composition of the Jury Council
3.1. The composition of the Jury Council is guided by:
  • professional competence in the sectors covered by the nomination categories;
  • diversity of expertise across business, digital technologies, healthcare, beauty, and related industries (Regulation, Section 1.1);
  • international representation, the Awards maintaining an international profile (Regulation, Section 1.1);
  • independence from sponsors, partners, applicants, and any external stakeholder;
  • absence of conflicts of interest within the meaning of Section 4.3 of the Regulation.
3.2. Periodic rotation of membership is applied to ensure diversity and independence (Regulation, Section 4.6).
3.3. The size of the Jury Council in a given season is determined by the number of nomination categories and the volume of admitted applications, and is not fixed by this Policy.
3.4. Each application admitted to evaluation is scored by not fewer than three Jury members.
3.5. The Organizational Committee appoints a Chair of the Jury, who exercises the casting vote under Section 6.6 of the Regulation and takes no part in scoring other than as a Jury member.

4. Eligibility Criteria for Jury Members
4.1. Membership of the Jury Council is by appointment only. Candidates are not admitted through open enrollment, and self-nomination for Jury membership is not accepted.
4.2. A candidate for appointment must demonstrate all of the following:

4.3. No single formal indicator, such as a specific number of years of experience, is applied mechanically. The Organizational Committee assesses the candidate's achievements, roles, and recognition in their totality against the criteria of Clause 4.2.
4.4. A candidate who does not satisfy any one of the criteria of Clause 4.2 is not appointed.

5. Sources of Candidates
5.1. Candidates may be identified by the Organizational Committee, proposed by the Secretariat, recommended by serving Jury members, or drawn from among recognized professionals in the relevant sectors.
5.2. Winners of previous seasons may be considered for appointment, subject to the criteria of Section 4 and to the conflict-of-interest screening of Section 6.
5.3. No candidate may be considered on the basis of any commercial, sponsorship, or financial relationship with the Awards (Regulation, Section 10).

6. Appointment Procedure
6.1. Jury members are nominated and appointed by the Organizational Committee following a reputational review and professional background assessment (Regulation, Section 4.2). The procedure comprises the following steps, in the order stated:
  1. Confirmation of the candidate's professional credentials and current affiliation.
  2. Reputational review and professional background assessment.
  3. Assessment of expertise relevant to the categories to be evaluated.
  4. Screening for conflicts of interest, conducted with the Compliance Function.
  5. Formal appointment by the Organizational Committee.
6.2. Appointment requires formal written acceptance and execution of mandatory declarations regarding independence and conflicts of interest (Regulation, Section 4.2).
6.3. The Organizational Committee records the basis on which each appointment was made, and the record forms part of the internal control documentation under Section 2.5 of the Regulation.

7. Obligations of Jury Members
7.1. A Jury member shall:
  • review each assigned application in full and base the evaluation exclusively on the submitted materials and verified information (Regulation, Section 3.3);
  • apply the scoring methodology and weighted criteria of Sections 6.2 and 6.3 of the Regulation consistently across all assigned applications;
  • ensure that each score reflects reasoned professional judgment (Regulation, Section 6.2);
  • act autonomously and decline any instruction or influence from an external party;
  • disclose any conflict of interest and abstain where required under Section 8;
  • observe the confidentiality requirements of Section 9;
  • complete the evaluation within the period established by the Secretariat;
  • refrain from public commentary on pending evaluations (Regulation, Section 4.6).
7.2. Jury members shall act with integrity, impartiality, and professionalism at all times; shall avoid lobbying, favoritism, discrimination, or reputational manipulation; shall not solicit or accept gifts, hospitality, financial incentives, or benefits that could influence or appear to influence judgment; and shall treat all Participants with fairness and respect (Regulation, Section 4.6).
7.3. Violation of these standards may result in disciplinary measures (Regulation, Section 4.6), including the measures set out in Section 10 of this Policy.

8. Conflict of Interest and Recusal
8.1. Jury members must remain free from relationships or affiliations that may impair impartiality, and may not evaluate submissions in which they hold financial, professional, advisory, or personal interests (Regulation, Section 4.3).
8.2. Where a conflict exists or is reasonably perceived, the Jury member shall abstain from reviewing and scoring the relevant submission, and the Secretariat shall exclude the recused member's scoring from all calculations (Regulation, Section 4.4).
8.3. Disclosures are made in writing before the commencement of evaluation and are recorded by the Secretariat. The Compliance Function oversees conflict-of-interest disclosures (Regulation, Section 2.4).
8.4. Where a conflict is identified after a score has been submitted, the score is annulled and the application is reassigned.
8.5. A Jury member may not be a Participant in any category in the season in which that member serves. The same applies to members of the Organizational Committee, the Secretariat, and the Compliance Function, and to their immediate family members.

9. Confidentiality
9.1. Jury members shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding application materials, scoring data, deliberations, shortlists, and final outcomes until officially published (Regulation, Section 4.5).
9.2. The confidentiality obligation extends beyond the term of service (Regulation, Section 4.5).
9.3. A Jury member shall not disclose, reproduce, or use for any purpose other than the evaluation any material received in the course of service. All personal and corporate data are processed lawfully and exclusively for Awards administration purposes, and access is restricted to authorized individuals (Regulation, Section 7).
9.4. Individual scores and the identity of Participants that did not reach the shortlist are not disclosed.

10. Term, Rotation and Termination
10.1. Appointment is made for one Awards season. Reappointment for subsequent seasons is permitted, subject to the rotation principle of Clause 3.2.
10.2. The Organizational Committee may apply the sanctions provided by Section 8 of the Regulation — warning, suspension, disqualification, removal from Jury membership, or annulment of results — where a Jury member:
  • breaches the obligations of Section 7 or the confidentiality requirements of Section 9;
  • fails to disclose a conflict of interest;
  • does not complete assigned evaluations within the established period;
  • engages in corruption, bribery, undue influence, coercion, reputational manipulation, or procedural interference (Regulation, Section 8).
10.3. Alleged breaches are investigated impartially by the Compliance Function and documented (Regulation, Sections 2.4 and 8).
10.4. Removal takes effect upon notification. Scores already submitted by the member concerned are reviewed by the Compliance Function and, where their integrity cannot be confirmed, are annulled and the applications reassigned.
10.5. A Jury member may resign at any time by written notice. Applications assigned to that member are reassigned.

11. Records and Internal Control
11.1. The Secretariat maintains, for each season, a record comprising the composition of the Jury Council, the basis of each appointment, the assignment of applications, all declarations of conflict of interest, all recusals, the completed scoring forms, and the documented final vote.
11.2. Records form part of the internal control system, which includes multi-level procedural verification, documentation audits, conflict-of-interest oversight, data security monitoring, validation of aggregated scores, and confirmation of final outcomes prior to public announcement (Regulation, Section 2.5).
11.3. Records are retained as internal documentation and are not published. Aggregate information concerning the composition of the Jury Council may be published by the Organizational Committee.
11.4. A confidential reporting mechanism enables the submission of concerns regarding the conduct of an evaluation. Reports are investigated impartially and documented (Regulation, Section 8).

12. Final Provisions
12.1. This Policy is interpreted and applied in accordance with the governance principles of the Awards — objectivity, transparency, independence, confidentiality, professionalism, fairness, diversity, and accountability (Regulation, Section 3.3). Official interpretation rests exclusively with the Organizational Committee (Regulation, Section 9).
12.2. Amendments to this Policy require formal approval by the Organizational Committee. No amendment takes effect in respect of a season in which applications have already opened.
12.3. Any amendment must preserve the independence of the Jury Council, the confidentiality of evaluation, the prohibition of self-nomination, the recusal mechanism, and the separation between funding sources and Jury decision-making.
12.4. This Policy enters into force upon approval by the Organizational Committee and applies to all current and future Awards seasons unless formally amended.
